NUR 4520 - Care of Complex Populations 3 cr This course incorporates concepts learned in current and previous courses into the care for patients across the lifespan with complex healthcare needs. An emphasis is placed on the nursing response to emergent, life-threatening and rapidly changing conditions that impact multiple systems and present complex health challenges in diverse settings among varied populations. As healthcare needs become increasingly complex, the collaboration of the nurse with the entire healthcare system (team members, patients, families, communities and other stakeholders) is important and will be addressed within this course. Students must be enrolled in the School of Nursing.
