NUR 3080 - Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing

This course will integrate prior knowledge with current best practice to deliver person/family/community-centered care to those individuals or groups with mental health concerns. The student will use critical thinking and decision-making skills to plan holistic care that is developmentally appropriate, compassionate and equitable, engaging persons with psychiatric diagnoses across the continuum of care through a variety of clinical and didactic experiences. 

Lecture/Lab: 3 hours of lecture, 1 clinical credit (45 hours)
Prerequisite(s): NUR 3045  NUR 4035  
Corequisite(s): NUR 3085  NUR 4030  NUR 4045  
Restrictions: Nursing majors only
