ARE 2040 - Construction Practices
3 cr
One part of this course introduces fundamental surveying principles and methods: distance measurement, angular measurement, elevation differences; levels and total stations; terminology; computations; and construction layout. Another part covers topics in construction estimates and records including estimating, takeoffs, and pricing for both residential and commercial construction. A third part explores construction management principles including contracts, general conditions, and specifications.
Lecture/Lab: 2 hours of lecture, 3 hours of studio
