Vermont State University’s Broadcast Meteorology Certificate program is aimed at non-matriculating students who are looking to further their skills in broadcast meteorology. It is best suited for a working professional in the broadcast industry looking to increase their skillset or an undergrad who has had no experiential learning experience in broadcast meteorology.
Program Outcomes
- Students will have an understanding of broadcast meteorology skillsets; presentation, performance, storytelling, etc.
- Students will have an understanding of basic meteorology and broadcast concepts.
- Students will have basic skillsets to be eligible for on-air meteorology positions.
