The Cinema Production minor provides students with a practical introduction to all stages of motion picture production and equips them with the technical foundations and aesthetic perspectives required to create competent cinematic work such as short narrative films, documentaries, and web features. Through hands-on experience using industry-standard technologies, students will gain an awareness of professional practices related to project development, equipment use, on-set communication, post-production techniques, and distribution and exhibition mechanisms. Students can apply their learning to a variety of creative fields, including advertising, education, public relations, and television, as well as all manner of the fine and performing arts.
