Dental Hygiene Online Degree Completion (BS.DHO)


Program Description 

Vermont State University’s Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene - Degree Completion (plus 2) program is completed online. There are no campus visits required, and students have six years to complete the required courses for the bachelor’s degree. Students who have graduated from accredited dental hygiene programs across the country are admitted to the program.  Vermont State University has articulation agreements with the following accredited dental hygiene programs: Bristol Community College (MA), Cape Cod Community College (MA), Middlesex Community College (MA), Monroe Community College (NY), Mount Wachusett Community College (MA), New Hampshire Technical Institute (NH), Quinsigamond Community College (MA), Springfield Technical Community College (MA), and Tunxis Community College (CT). These agreements are designed to maximize the number of credits students can transfer to Vermont State University. All OHS, CHEM, and BIO courses must be completed with a grade of C (73) or better to continue in the program.

Program Core (112 credits)


If the student is admitted with a degree from a program with whom we have no articulation agreement, their transcript would be evaluated and all of the following requirements must be satisfied.

Graduation Requirements


To obtain a degree, students must fulfill the major-specific requirements as well as satisfy all other Degree Requirements  including the Connections General Education Program Requirements .
