Aviation Maintenance Technology (AAS.AVM)


Program Description 

Vermont State University’s Associate of Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology program, in partnership with Burlington Technical Center, prepares students for career opportunities as aircraft maintenence technicians. Students are provided with both fieldwork and internship opportunities to expand their view of the industry that supports all air travel and to make professional connections leading to careers in the field of aviation maintenance. 

All students entering this program must have an FAA Mechanic Certificate. Students who do not currently hold an A/P certificate may contact Burlington Technical Center located at the Burlington National Airport. Students may also use another authorized maintenence facility. After certification, complete a campus-based residency semester at our Williston campus to earn your degree.

Graduation Requirements


To obtain a degree, students must fulfill the major-specific requirements as well as satisfy all other Degree Requirements  including the Connections General Education Program Requirements .
