Program Description
Vermont State University’s Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater program offers a strong combination of theory and practice through a comprehensive curriculum of music, theater, and dance. Students will gain knowledge and skills through a carefully planned course of studies that will introduce foundational concepts in each of the three content areas and progress to more advanced and focused studies in musical theater. Students will also receive training in a variety of specific styles for individual and group performance.
Students will be performing on stage from their first year and they will have multiple opportunities to hone and showcase their skills during full-length musical production every year with a variety of other opportunities such as: University Chorale, Wind Symphoney, Jazz Ensemble, Dance performances, Main Stage Theater, and many student productions.
