RSP 1012 - Respiratory Care II

In this course, the student learns the skills and techniques of managing and treating patients with respiratory needs. The clinical effects of various types of respiratory therapy and diagnostic techniques are explored. Oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy are thoroughly discussed. Lung expansion therapy, airway clearance therapy, and techniques of airway management are included. Respiratory Care plans and interprofessional education are discussed.
4 hours of lecture, 3 hours of lab
Prerequisites: RSP 1010 , RSP 1011 , RSP 1013
Corequisites: RSP 1210 , RSP 1601
