AFF 1050 - Forage and Pasture Management 4 cr Graded Only
Forage and pasture management are critical skills for the regenerative grazier. In this course, students will become proficient in forage types and cultivation of productive pastures. Students will learn how cover crops can be integrated into grazing systems. Students gain skills matching livestock needs with pasture forage, with the end goal of efficient paddock mapping. Students will use the VTSU grazing farm to observe pasture forage and paddock systems.
