AFF 2035 - Advanced Lumber Production

Through online learning, hands-on practice and industry tours, students learn advanced lumber grading and drying in alignment with NELMA and NHLA standards, to develop a marketable product. Students discover value-added and niche opportunities within the wood milling sector, and the production of diverse wood products on a variety of scales. Students are exposed to marketing principles unique to the forest product industry.
Lecture/Lab: 2 hours of lecture, 2 hours of lab
