AFF 1035 - Forests and Forest Products

This introductory course lays the groundwork of the roles and responsibilities of individuals employed within the forestry sector. Students learn how the broader forest and forest products economy operates. Students explore principles behind modern forest stewardship and gain practical skills with timber species identification and uses. Students acquire competency with chainsaw operation through a partnership with the Game of Logging program.
