CPM 3030 - Concrete & Steel Lab

In this course, the student prepares to sit for the American Concrete Institute’s Field 1 Concrete Certificate. Raw materials that make up concrete are studied. It includes interpreting sieve analysis of concrete aggregate as well as the study of concrete strength. The student gains an understanding of the various methods of concrete testing, which are then applied through real-world lab experience with equipment used by industry professionals. Structural and thin-walled steel components and connections are studied and are used in experiments through lab experience.

Lecture/Lab: 2 hours of lecture, 2 hours of lab
Prerequisite(s): CET 2120  or CPM 2030
