AHS 2150 - Designs for Fitness GE

This course investigates the basic components of skill-related and health-related fitness, plus dimensions of wellness. Emphasis is on expanding one’s knowledge of health-related fitness. Topics of study include: fitness assessment, individualized exercise prescriptions, risk factor analysis and chronic disease prevention, nutrition and weight control, body composition analysis, injury prevention, and the physiological effects of training and overtraining.
