ART 3045 - Advanced Media Arts
3 cr
This course offers an advanced exploration of contemporary digital topics such as image processing, 3-D graphics, interactivity, augmented and virtual reality, interface design and other emerging and hybrid media arts. Intended for students who have background in media arts, engineering, design, and cross-disciplinary practices, the course focuses on the relationship of media to contemporary culture. Experimentation and integration of media with everyday objects is encouraged. The course also covers contemporary work in technology-influenced art practice and theory.
