PSY 2410 - Psychological Research I 3 cr
Introduction to the scientific method as applied to behavior. Emphasis is on the development of scientific attitudes as well as the development of the basic quantitative research skills of data collection, analysis and interpretation. Topics include the philosophy of science, observation, surveys, field research, correlational, experimental and quasi-experimental designs, hypothesis testing, experimenter bias, and research ethics. Research projects are included.
Lecture/Lab: 3 hours of lecture Prerequisite(s): PSY 1010 , introductory statistics course strongly recommended Restrictions: Sophomore standing or permission of instructor Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
