ANT 3820 - Anthropology Fieldwork


3 cr

This course is designed to train students in social science fieldwork techniques with emphasis on anthropological qualitative methods of participant observation, interview, kinship analysis, life case history, and photography. It will involve traveling to and living among the group under study. The actual field study will be preceded by preparatory background study and followed by data analysis and a written report.

Repeat Rule: May be repeated 1 time for credit, with instructor’s permission, if new work is undertaken.
