AER 4060 - Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems

This course provides a general understanding of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) (aka “drones”), the components of those systems, how they interact, and how they are used. It includes a comprehensive introduction to all of the elements of a complete UAS. Topics addressed include the air vehicle; planning and control; mission payloads; data links; launch and recovery concepts; and ethical and legal issues associated with UAS operations.
