AER 2009 - Landing Gear Systems

Students will learn about the various components that comprise aircraft landing gear systems such as wheels, tires, brakes, gear retraction and shock absorbing mechanisms. Next, disassemble/reassemble, inspection and repair procedures will be practiced on the various components along with the process of placing an aircraft on a jack (lift) and performing a landing gear retraction test.
Lecture/Lab: 0.5 hour of lecture, 0.5 hour of lab
