This transfer pathway will help you plan courses at the Community College of Vermont (CCV) that will meet course specific requirements at Vermont State University (VTSU).

  • CCV and VTSU are both a part of the Vermont State College System (VSCS). Students have one common VSCS transcript. As such, courses taken at CCV are not considered transfer credit.
  • VTSU is a partner in the Vermont Transfer Guarantee, https://ccv.edu/academics/transfer-from-ccv/vermont-transfer-guarantee/  
  • Students who have completed an associate degree at CCV will have completed all associate-level general education requirements at VTSU.
  • VTSU accepts all general education credits and associate’s level VSCS graduation standards from CCV.

Program electives (9 credits):

Choose 9 credits at the 3000/4000 level from any of the following disciplines: ANT, ARH, ART, ATM, BIO, CHE, CIS, ECO, EDU, ENG, ENV, FLM, GEO, GEY, HIS, HUM, MAT, MUS, PHI, PHY, POS, PSY, SCI, SOC, or THA.  

Between 0-6 of these credits may also need to fulfill VTSU bachelor’s degree general education requirements, depending on choice of electives at CCV. 

Licensure Requirements: 

  • Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher by your final semester in the program. 
  • Complete at least 4,000 hours of work experience with children from birth to age 5 by your final semester in the program 

Total credits to complete BS degree: 120

*Students who have graduated from CCV or who are transferring with 30 credits or more and have previously completed an intermediate research and writing intensive course are exempt from VTSU Connections Seminar 2.
