Policy Rationale
Vermont State University (VTSU) recognizes that not all students wish to matriculate into degree programs. Individuals may wish to register for specific courses only, making them registered students . This policy outlines relevant information and process for individuals to take selective courses without matriculating into degree programs.
Policy
Qualified non-degree students may enroll in all courses in any course modality listed in the catalog, if space is available and if prerequisites have been met or waived by the instructor, in consultation with the Program Coordinator.
To be eligible to enroll in courses as a non-degree student, students must have a high school diploma or a GED, unless they have been approved to take courses through one of Vermont State University’s Dual Enrollment or Early College programs
