Computer Information Systems (AS.CPS)


Program Description 

Vermont State University’s Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems provides an entry-level foundation in computing skills necessary for workplace needs in both the software development and information technology industries. Students learn through an experiential approach supplementing lectures and discussion with hands-on labs. Graduates may seek employment as entry-level computer programmers or information technology professionals. 

Program Outcomes 

  1. Design and develop websites and/or related web applications. 

  1. Demonstrate fluency in a high-level programming language. 

  1. Evaluate the information technology needs of an organization; including troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining the infrastructure, and storing data.
