The VTSU Art History minor offers students the opportunity to explore the visual cultures of the past and present while developing skills in formal analysis, critical thinking, and communication. The program includes a two-course overview of World Art from the prehistoric era to our contemporary period. Students also take a series of Art History courses each with a focus on a specific geographic region, time period, or topical theme. Students will learn to interpret works of art and architecture within their historical, social, and cultural contexts.

Requirements for the minor (6 credits)
Electives for the minor (12 credits)
Students must complete ARH-3025 four times, each with a different topic, for a total of 12 credits. Total credits required: 18
