International Studies Minor (INS)


International Studies is an interdisciplinary minor program that enables students to develop an in-depth understanding of international relations, processes of globalization and regionalization in the world by combining the insights and perspectives of multiple disciplines, including Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science and the study of foreign languages. International travel course also count towards the minor.  The minor is designed to develop the background of those who plan to attend graduate school to pursue degrees with international orientations and for those who will seek careers in international fields such as international security, trade and finance, political and economic development, human rights and humanitarian policy, democratization, climate change, global health and many others.  The minor is also for students who want to develop their understanding of the broader world.  The minor certifies students possess skills for global endeavors.
