XSC 1255 - Exercise for Health and Performance


3 cr

This course will introduce students to the health-related components of fitness (muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and body-composition) and the Performance (skill) related components of fitness (speed, power, agility, coordination, reaction time, and balance). Lecture content will be emphasized in applied laboratory sessions.

2 hours of lecture, 2 hours of lab
