WFD 4720 - Portolio and Presentation

This course provides students the opportunity and support to explore and develop their professional profile-creating the images; finding and editing the words; gathering and shaping the matter-to tell your story. Your story is the way you come to understand and represent yourself to others. It is essential in connecting effectively with potential clients, customers, and prospective employers. As such, this course dovetails with a Degree Project, fortifying the bridge you’re building there to professional furniture making and design. We’ll work here on the larger package: putting together your resume (which deserves regular updates), composing artist statements (revelatory contemplations), documenting your work through photography, constructing a Web site that represents you effectively, and practicing how you talk about your work and yourself professionally.
Prerequisites: WFD 1010 , WFD 1020 , WFD 2010 , WFD 2020 , WFD 3020
