HIS 2431 - Early African History 3 cr
This course introduces students to the richness and diversity of ancient African history. Ranging from empires like Egypt, Carthage, Mali, or the Zulu empire to the city states of the eastern African coast. From small clan-based societies to large monarchies, this course examines societies across the continent from the earliest histories to the mid-19th century. No prior knowledge of African history is required.
