ENG 4130 - The Form & Theory of Nonfiction
3 cr
This course is a craft exploration of the major genres of literary nonfiction including classical and modern essays, memoir, and literary journalism. Special attention is paid to structure, voice, and where relevant, the application of techniques traditionally associated with fiction to nonfiction prose. Works by American, European, and non-Western writers will be examined.
Prerequisites: ENG 2300 , or permission of instructor
