COM 4810 - Internship in Communication 1-12 cr
The student takes on a position of responsibility in an off-campus professional environment under the direction of an on-site supervisor and a faculty member. Experiences are available in newspapers, magazines, large and small radio and television stations, production companies, marketing and PR firms, nonprofits, and other areas. The student must work with a COM faculty member to identify an appropriate internship site and establish a job description, learning objectives, and method of evaluation in advance of enrollment.
May be repeated 2 times up to 15 credits.
Prerequisites: Permission of instructor. Offered: Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer Notes: Signed contract required at time of registration.
