BIO 3210 - Developmental Biology


3 cr

This developmental biology course is designed to introduce you to animal development. We will use a systems biology approach to help us examine how the principles of developmental biology apply to medicine, ecology, and evolution. This course will analyze how complex organisms develop, from a single cell through organogenesis. In addition, we will look at environmental disruptions in human fetal development, the embryonic origins of adult disease, and the advances in stem cell research and therapeutics.?

Prerequisites: BIO 1121  and BIO 1122 , or BIO 2011  and BIO 2012  (BIO 2012  may be taken concurrently).
