WFC 2015 - Natural History & Identification of Woody Plants

The course focuses on field-based species identification year-round, proper nomenclature, community associations, species ranges, economic importance, natural history, insect/disease problems, and wildlife relationships of important forest woody plants. Some basic silvicultural techniques will also be reviewed in terms of promotion of wildlife habitat and healthy forest management.

Prerequisites: BIO 1121 , BIO 1122
