ENV 4015 - Climate Change Ecology 4 cr
This course examines the impact of climate change on ecological systems. Topics include evidence of climate change, latitudinal and altitudinal range shifts, phenology shifts, biodiversity, disease ecology, ocean ecology, and effective communication with diverse audiences. Labs utilize publicly available data from sources such as NOAA and the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest. The course also includes field trips to facilities such as the New England Aquarium and the Harvard Forest.
3 hours of lecture, 3 hours of lab
Prerequisites: BIO-1020 or BIO 1122 or ENV 1080 Offered: Winter, odd years There is a fee associate with this course.
