ENG 3500 - Studies in Literature


3 cr

In this course, students examine literature in depth by focusing on a particular period, genre, author, or analytical perspective. It provides the opportunity for students to explore texts with shared conventions and/or cultural contexts. Each semester will focus on a specific topic, such as African American Literature, Jane Austin, Children’s Literature, Epic Poetry, Horror, Viking Sagas, or Literature of the Grotesque. Repeatable for credit with a change of topic.

May be repeated for credit as topics change

Offered: Fall, Spring

This course fulfills the Humanistic Perspective general education requirement.
