ENV 1025 - Introduction to Soils

This course covers soil formation and classification and the ways in which chemical, physical, and biological properties of soil affect plant growth. It examines issues related to soil temperature, aeration, organic matter, and tilth. It explores practices best suited to erosion control and nutrient management. The student learns about soil testing and the most effective practices for sustainable management.
