HIS 3075 - The Japanese Empire GE

This course offers a history of the Japanese Empire, stretching from the Meiji Restoration in the late 19th century until WWII. Topics discussed in the course include Japanese imperial politics, Japan’s industrialization, ideologies of militarism and autocracy, and the impact of Japanese imperialism on the nations of East Asia.
