CHE 2040 - Organic Chemistry

An introduction to the chemistry of organic compounds. Emphasis is on organic functional groups and their chemical properties, nomenclature, structure, and impact on physical properties. Substitution, elimination, addition, and radical reactions are covered. An introduction to aromatic compounds and carbonyl chemistry is included.
