GEO 3080 - Globalization & the Environment GE

In this course students consider relationships between the environment and globalization-including economic, political, cultural, and ideological globalization. Environmental problems and possible solutions to those problems are considered, Issues may include, but are not limited to: global climate change, fisheries collapse, “peak oil,” soil erosion and depletion, acid rain, deforestation, groundwater and surface water pollution, estuary health, and ozone deletion.
