HIS 3725 - Spectacle, Performance & Propaganda GE 3 cr Graded
This course explores topics of art, culture, and spectacle in our globalized world from the 17th to the 20th centuries. Focusing primarily on English-language performances, students will learn about the history of English performance, the role of spectacle and celebration in social history, the lives and experiences of professional performers, and the intersections between art and propaganda.
