BIO 3035 - Vermont Herpetology 4 cr Amphibians and reptiles are often overlooked or maligned animals that nonetheless play important ecological roles and contribute significantly to vertebrate biodiversity. Vermont Herpetology explores the biology of these animals with a focus on our local species. Lectures will cover evolutionary relationships, ecological adaptations, behavior, and conservation. The course will also include up to three required field trips during the semester and required daily field trips in the week after exams.
