HIS 3260 - Violence in America 3 cr This course examines the history of American violence. It approaches not only violence as a problem for its targets, but as a dynamic factor in everyday life, including analysis of gender, ethnicity, class, and regional identity. Violence will be framed in a context such as Native American history, organized crime, race relations, or politics, that can rotate in successive semesters.
