HIS 3220 - Revolutions in Latin America GE 3 cr Graded
This course examines the role revolutionary violence played in establishing the modern Atlantic world. It assumes that liberation movements in Latin America played a key role in that process but will at times consider the influence of revolutions in North America and Europe. Topics for study include the roles of nationalism, Marxism, and anti-colonialism in providing models for revolutionary violence.
