HIS 3056 - Race in America GE
3 cr
This course will use a multi-disciplinary lens to analyze American racial attitudes and beliefs over time. It will emphasize the historical roots of American racism and the evolution of American racial perceptions. Both progressive and regressive racial attitudes will be addressed. Students will explore how racial attitudes have interacted with culture, politics, work, gender relations, violence, religion, and ethnicity.

General education: This course fulfills the Social Science general education requirement.
