ELT 3053 - Electronics III


4 cr
This course is a continuation of ELT 2042 , incorporating current devices and techniques in the industry. It has four main topics: a) power management (including buck and boost switching power supplies, switched capacitor, low-voltage power control circuitry, and drivers); b) noise, electromagnetic frequency spectrum, AM modulation, frequency modulation, and receivers; c) RF concepts and high-frequency behavior of passive components and transmission line concepts; and d) phase lock loop and frequency multipliers.

Lecture/Lab: 3 hours of lecture, 3 hours of lab
Prerequisite(s): ELT 2042  PHY 1052
