EDU 4850 - Secondary Student Teaching 12 cr Students spend 5 days per week in a 7-12 classroom in their content area for 15 consecutive weeks with a licensed cooperating teacher. A college supervisor (course instructor) visits the student teacher once every 10 teaching days to reflect on progress towards becoming a professional educator. The student teacher designs, teaches, and assesses a unit of study and conducts a two-week “solo” mid-semester.
Prerequisite(s): EDU TEW4 , 3.0 GPA, B- or higher in all EDU courses, and department permission. Typically offered: Fall, Spring Special fee: There is a fee associated with this course
