EDU 4820 - Student Teaching - Elementary 12 cr Students spend 5 days per week in a K-6 elementary classroom for 15 consecutive weeks with a licensed cooperating teacher. A college supervisor (course instructor) visits the student teacher once every 10 teaching days to reflect on progress towards becoming a professional educator. The student teacher designs, teaches, and assesses a unit of study and conducts a two-week “solo” mid-semester.
Prerequisite(s): 3.0 GPA, B- or better in all EDU courses Typically offered: Fall, Spring Special fee: There is a fee associated with this course
