EDU 4420 - Trauma and Intervention

While examining trauma-informed teaching and special populations, students learn about responsive practices and evidence-based strategies, gain exposure to family and community resources, and demonstrate appropriate dispositions. With an emphasis on professionalism, sensitivity to diverse family characteristics, and flexible thinking, this course encourages students to develop a professional identity while utilizing collaborative and consultative approaches that support children and families.

Lecture/Lab: 3 hours of lecture, 60 hours of field work
