EDU 3440 - Advocacy & Ethics in Education

This course studies the practice of teaching as a sociopolitical endeavor with specific consideration of its professional, ethical, and legal context. Attention is drawn to education policies and practices that have moved schooling toward more equitable and inclusive practice. Students conduct a collaborative fieldwork project with the goal of advocating for change. Students develop Part III of the Vermont Licensure Portfolio in this course.
