EDU 2022 - Math Play from Birth to Third Grade
3 cr
Students will learn multiple approaches to mathematics, especially focused on play, exploration, group dialogue, thinking, and making connections to one’s community and wider regional, state, national, and global contexts Emphasis will be placed on developing a sense of numeracy, number relationships, and operations in young children. Learning through exploring the world using measurement and geometric reasoning skills will be emphasized.
Lecture/Lab: 3 lecture hours, 15 hours of field work
