ECE 4811 - Teaching Early Childhood Education 12 cr This course places students in an early childhood classroom for 13 weeks. Students gradually increase their involvement, culminating in a period of full-time teaching under the direction of a qualified supervising teacher. The course involves practical application of teaching principles, knowledge, and understanding of young children and their development. Student Teaching experience must be supervised by a Licensed ECE Cooperating Teacher.
Prerequisite(s): EDU 1030 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education; grade of B- or better in all prior ECE courses in the sequence; 2000 hours in the field of early childhood education; workforce placement recommended; 3.0 GPA and testing requirements met Typically offered: Spring, Summer Special fee: There is a fee associated with this course.
