ECE 3870 - Inclusive Teaching for Early Educators


3 cr
This course explores the methods and best practices for including children special needs in the typical early childhood classroom. Topics include best practices for inclusion, collaboration with families and other special education team members, and curriculum design that addresses all learners. Teaching children who are English language learners will also be addressed.

Prerequisite(s): EDU 1030 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education; grade of B- or better in all prior ECE courses in the sequence; 2000 hours in the field of early childhood education; workforce placement recommended
